Historically, this 120-acre parcel in the Oak Knoll AVA was a blackberry ranch located in the middle of the valley floor. Deep, versatile soils allowed Markham Vineyards to plant an assortment of varietals to compliment both our portfolio and capitalize on the potential of the ranch. Sauvignon Blanc is planted along the riparian corridor which helps repel pests and grows well in the deepest soils. Both the Chardonnay and Merlot utilized budwood from other estate vineyards. Our love for Yountville Merlot flavors made it an easy choice here as well. Small "tasting room only" bottlings of Pinot Noir and Muscat are also grown on the property.
